FutureSex/LoveSounds is the second studio album by Justin Timberlake, released by Jive Records on September 12, 2006. Jive Records was an American record label operating under the RCA Music Group, formerly headquartered in New York City. The label was primarily known for a string of successes with hip-hop artists in the 1980s, and in teen pop and boy bands in the late 1990s.  Jive Records operated as an independently managed label until 2002, when Bertelsmann Music Group acquired the remainder of its parent company Zomba for US $2.74 billion, which at the time was the largest-ever acquisition of an independent label with major-label distribution. Jive's best-selling artists worldwide were The Backstreet Boys and Britney Spears.

This CD was a gift from David Darst. It moved with me from Queens to storage to Manhattan to Brooklyn.
